Why did I choose to become a celebrant?
Well, it was my husband that encouraged me, being that he was in the funeral industry. Before taking on this role, I was an elementary school teacher and a Developmental Specialist with Early Intervention. I knew I could use all my skills, knowledge and life experiences within this role. So, I took his advice and entered into the role as celebrant because I love helping people in anyway I can.

I feel so privileged to share and celebrate the stories of the people who trust me with them. Everyone has a story- and I believe passionately that it deserves to be celebrated. I love to create ceremonies that fill you lungs with laughter and hearts with joy.

We begin with a family meeting. Please plan on one to two hours for this gathering. During our unhurried conversation, I will ask about your loved one’s personality and interests, how they touched the lives of others, how they would want to be remembered. We will discuss special elements such as music and readings and begin to shape a cer

We will discuss special elements such as music and readings and begin to shape a ceremony outline. I will arrange telephone interviews with any significant people unable to attend the meeting.
